Day 01

Today you will be picked up from Colombo in the morning and proceed to Hiriwadunna Village in Habarana where you will be welcomed by the villages and will be served with an aromatic tea with jaggary. From there you will be picked by a traditional Bullock Cart, in which you can experience the real traditional Sri Lankan rural village style throughout the ride (45 minutes ride). Where you can enjoy authentic Sri Lankan village lunch at a local house. Having concluded your lunch at the local house you can enjoy a catamaran safari with bonus ‘chena Visit’ for an hour. You will be transferred to your hotel in Dambulla for your overnight stay.

Day 02

Today you will be transferred to Nuwara Eliya via Kandy. Where you have a choice of doing a city tour of the Kandy city including temple of tooth relic visit, continue to Nuwara Eliya and visit a tea factory and plantation site. Following your tea factory and plantation visit you can do a brief city tour of Nuwara Eliya including visit to the Victoria flower garden, race course grounds and the Gregory Lake. You will be transferred to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya where you will spend your overnight stay.

Day 03

Today you will be transferred to haputale en-route visiting the hakgala botanical garden. You will be transferred to your hotel in haputale where your will spend the rest of the day at leisure and stay overnight.

Day 04

Today you will be transferred to the haputale train station from where you will travel by train to Ella enjoying the scenic ride. You will arrive at the Ella railway station and be transferred to your hotel in ells for your overnight stay.

Day 05

Today you will be transferred to Unawatuna a beautiful beach area down south where you can enjoy the beautiful beaches. You will be transferred to your hotel in Unawatuna for the night. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 06

Today you will proceed to visit the Dutch fort and galle city tour by a tuk tuk (three-wheeler). Where you will be transferred back to your hotel where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure and stay overnight.

Day 07

You will be transferred to the Colombo airport for your departure flight

Bullock Cart Ride

Bullock Cart (Double Ox Cart) which will transport through the next phase of the adventure. The journey continues through dense shrub forests, Paddy lands and other home to many forest birds and other wildlife including monkeys, bear, wild hare, python, Mongose, and even elephants. Sightseeing of the rural village life is possible while on the cart ride. Lie back and enjoy the flashes of blue sky through the canopy of the trees as the carter expertly guides his animals.

Catamaran Safari with Chena Visit

Catamaran Safari – (Double paired canoe joined together with seating facility) at the scenic lake & Wade through a shallow stream and the sense of adventure heightens when you need to get a Chena Cultivation via a somewhat wider tributary which needs to be crossed on a Catamaran. At the Chena cultivation you will stop to enjoy the farmer’s humble hospitality. Perhaps enjoy a drink of sweet King Coconut/Aromatic ginger tea or some other seasonal fruits. Chance of experiencing bird watching while on the Catamaran such as Peacocks, green pigeons, comorans, green bitters, King fisher, Eagles and many more birds and also land monitors as well as water monitors.

Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya is a cool green mountain valley, the heart of Sri Lankan hill country boasts rolling hills interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. It is also acclaimed for its golf courses and amazing tea plantations.

Hakgala Botanical Garden

It is one of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. The other four are Peradeniya Botanical Garden,Henarathgoda Botanical Garden, Mirijjawila Botanical Garden and Seetawaka Botanical Garden. It is the second largest garden in Sri Lanka. The garden is contiguous to Hakgala Strict Nature Reserve

Kandy

The last capital of the Sri Lankan kings is a World Heritage Site. The name “Kandy” conjures visions of splendor and magnificence. Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept alive.

Galle

Capital of southern Sri Lanka in 1587, the Portuguese annexed Galle from its Singhalese kings and built its first fortress naming it “Santacrusz”. Its old world charm appeals as a tourist destination. To this day it looks back to 500 years of nurture under Singhalese, Portuguese, Dutch and British stewardship. The influence of the Dutch on the people of the city architecture and especially the dress code is evident today. The town is the first international commerce and trade centre of the island. Galle plays an important role in Sri Lanka’s economy. The sandy beach here enhances the natural beauty the city is blessed with.
